Description

The gas field ranks among the world's five biggest with estimated reserves of between 4 and 14 trillion cubic meters (tcm) of natural gas, and proven commercial reserves of 2.8 tcm. It lies on 2700 square kilometres (1,042.5 sq mi) zone of 90 kilometres (55.9 mi) in length and 30 kilometres (18.6 mi) in width in the depth of 3900 to 5100 m (12,795.3 to 16,732.3 ft). The Ýolöten field is bordered with the Minara field in north, Osman field in south, and Yashlar field in east. Other nearby gas areas are Gunorta Garakel, Garakel, Giurgiu, Gazanly, Gundogar Eloten and Gunbatar Yandakly.

Oil reserves are 300 million tons. The crude oil extracted at Ýolöten is transported to the Seýdi
