Controversy

As a kids' channel, Hungama TV once received a number of complaints about one of its shows, Shinchan

, which is actually meant as an adult show in Japan

. Several sources say that guardians complained against hosting this program, because, according to their claim, children learned bad habit and abusing words from this serial.

As a result, the said program, Shinchan, was stopped telecasting. This, in turn, turned the fans of Shinchan disappointed towards Hungama TV and wanted a re-telecast of Shinchan. The period when Shinchan was stopped was utilized to remove scenes and languages that would probably be harmful to children. This program was again telecast on Hungama TV. Thus the channel remained as popular as before.
