Moon
The Moon is Earth's only known natural satellite,There are a number of near-Earth asteroids including 3753 Cruithne that are co-orbital with Earth: their orbits bring them close to Earth for periods of time but then alter in the long term . These are quasi-satellites and not true moons. For more...

Poincaré (crater)
Poincaré is a large lunar impact basin that lies in the southern hemisphere on the far side of the Moon. Most of the formation has been heavily eroded by subsequent impacts, leaving a battered formation with only rugged remnants of the original outer rim to the west. The eastern half has been...

Garavito (crater)
Garavito is a lunar crater that is located in the southern hemisphere on the Moon's far side. It lies to the north-northwest of the huge walled plain Poincaré, and to the west of the crater Chrétien. It takes its name in honor of the Colombian astronomer Julio Garavito Armero. This crater has a worn...

.

The outer rim of this crater has undergone some wear due to impact erosion. Still the inner walls possess some terrace structures along the southern edge. A small crater overlays the northern rim, and a pair of tiny craters line along the eastern edge.

The interior floor is relatively level and has a lower albedo
Albedo
Albedo , or reflection coefficient, is the diffuse reflectivity or reflecting power of a surface. It is defined as the ratio of reflected radiation from the surface to incident radiation upon it...

than the surrounding surface, giving it a slightly dark appearance. There are some low ridges near the crater mid-point, and a double-ringed rim to the south-southeast of the center. A tiny craterlet to the northwest of the mid-point is surrounded by a small skirt of higher albedo material, giving it the appearance of a white patch.
