The main festival of the year, Holton Days, is held in the last weekend of July.
The Holton Red Devils have a state title in Volleyball in 1994. They were also runner-up in 1993. In Baseball they were state runner-up in 2006, losing to #1 state ranked Homer 3-2 in a thrilling game.

living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.4% were non-families. 18.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.80 and the average family size was 3.19.
In the township the population was spread out with 29.9% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 29.3% from 25 to 44, 23.4% from 45 to 64, and 10.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 110.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.9 males.

Education
In 2000, Holton was one of only 7 school districts in the state of Michigan that would have been eligible for private school vouchers, on which there was a state-wide referendum that year. Most residents were opposed to the measure, since they didn't want competition for the local public school.
