High Roller Observation Wheel is a 167.6 metres (550 ft) tall giant Ferris wheel
announced in August 2011 as part of Caesars Entertainment Corporation's $550 million Project Linq on the Las Vegas Strip
, Nevada
. Construction was scheduled to begin in September 2011 with completion expected in late 2013.
If completed, it will be taller than the current world's tallest Ferris wheel, the 165 m (541 ft) Singapore Flyer
which opened to the public in March 2008.
High Roller's planned location is behind the Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino
and the Flamingo Las Vegas
. Passengers are expected to have to pay less than $20 per ride.
The capsules are to be supplied by Leitner-Poma of America
and designed by French sister company Sigma. Leitner-Poma also supplied, and Sigma also designed, the capsules for the London Eye
. Leitner-Poma is due to deliver the capsules to Caesars by November 2013.
The capsules will be mounted outside the rim of the wheel and individually turned by electric motors to keep the floor horizontal throughout each 30-minute rotation. Each capsule will weigh approximately 25 tons, have a diameter of 6.7 metres (22 ft), and be equipped with eight flat-screen televisions and an iPod dock.

in March 2011. It was announced at a media event and groundbreaking ceremony in May 2011 by Howard Bulloch of Compass Investments, who stated "We expect it to be up and running in time for New Year's 2012." Its 40 gondolas will each carry 20-25 people.
