The band has participated in music events throughout the country, including the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C., the World’s Fair in Knoxville, TN., the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the Walt Disney World Parade.
The band program has also developed strength in the area of concert band. In recent years, the band has consistently received Division I ratings at concert band contest. Many students participated in Solo and Ensemble Contest at the district and state levels.

Marching Band
The Patriot Band has received many awards and honors. The Marching Patriots have received a Gold rating at the District level and have advanced to the Regional level each year since 1983. The Marching Patriots competed in the State Marching Band Finals in 1984, 1986, 1987, 1990, 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2007. The program was honored to receive the ISSMA All-Music Award in 2003-2004, 2004-2005, 2005-2006, 2007-2008, and 2008-2009.
