Helmut G. Tollmann, born 1945 in Cologne
, is a visual artist, whose work includes paintings, graphics, sculptures, photographs, performance and installations. He is the creator of "Soul of chip", multi-layered artworks dealing with human and technical intelligence. He lives and works in Cologne.
He has created light- and music-performances in collaboration with companies in Cologne, Hannover and Munich(electronica
). He is represented in the collections by Daimler, Acer, Dielektra Siemens, as well as in other institutional and private collections, e.g., in Athens, Hong Kong, Singapore, New York.
For study travelling and ehibitions participation Tollmann came to Paris, London, Greece, New York, Boston, China, the former Sowietunion and China. Artist's friendship among others with Max Ernst

from 1970. In 1975 he started to use engineering processes and electronics in his work and exhibited in Germany, the Netherlands and France.
In 1996 he produced multimedia projects in collaboration with Artexpert, Cologne. In 2001 he started his collaboration with the Artforum Culture Foundation
, Thessaloniki. With this organisation he contributed to the Sancto Subito art project in 2005.
Solo exhibitions include the Federal Press Club, Germany (2002), Aurich
Art Association (2003), Planet One Gallery, Düsseldorf. His exhibition "Verbindungen" (connections) in Neuerburg was organized by the City of Cologne and Artexpert. He has participated in the Marina di Ravenna art festival (2003) and Electronica, Munich. In Bonn
the Federal Press Club invited Tollmann to participate in the "Beethoven Superstar" exhibition.
In 2004 he got an award at the art festival in Ravenna as a significant foreign artist.
