    - Opened in 1950 with 50 beds and 13 physicians. Its busy 24-hour emergency department experiences more than 53,000 visits annually, while over 114,000 patients visit its outpatient areas each year. With over 2,300 births a year, the Family Centred Maternal Child Program is also a hub of activity.

    - Opened in 1959 with 53 beds and 8 bassinets. The Emergency Department, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, together with the outpatient department provides care to more than 37,000 patients annually.

  • Georgetown Hospital- Opened in 1961 with 64 hospital beds. The Emergency Department, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, provides service to more than 26,000 patients annually. The Hospital provides mostly primary care to the residents of the Town of Halton Hills, which include the towns and villages of: Acton, Ballinafad, Churchill (Hamlet), Georgetown, Glen Williams, Limehouse, Norval (Village of), Stewarttown and Terra Cotta.

Future Plans and Expansion

The region that HHS services is one of the fastest growing in Ontario. In order to cope with the growing population, plans are underway to relocate and expand the Oakville hospital. HHS has also submitted a business case for the expansion and redevelopment of Milton District Hospital.
