Greenon High School is a member of the Central Buckeye Conference (CBC), which is divided into two divisions: The Kenton Trail which includes Bellefontaine, Stebbins, Shawnee, Tecumseh, Tippecanoe, and Kenton Ridge and The Mad River Division which includes Benjamin Logan, Graham, Greenon, Urbana, Northwestern, and Indian Lake.

Instrumental music

The Greenon High School Instrumental Music Department consists of the Greenon Marching Knights Marching Band, the Greenon Pep Band, the Greenon Indoor Performance Ensemble, the Greenon Symphonic Band, and the Greenon Big Band.

The Marching Knights compete in the MSBA (Mid-States Band Association) circuit, the Indoor Performance Ensemble competes in the MEPA (Mid East Performance Association) and WGI (Winter Guard International) circuits, and the Symphonic Band competes in both OMEA District XII Large Group and Solo and Ensemble Contests.

The Greenon Instrumental Music Department is under the direction of Jerrod Fry, and past directors include James Blankenship, Michael Bisig, Loyd Stigers, and Frank Giampetro.
