Back in the 19th century, Prince Edward Island was a major shipbuilding hub with Green Park being one of the most active shipyard sites. Back then, it was a golden era for the shipping industry with exports driving global economy. True to its history, the Green Park Provincial Park still houses the Historic Yeo House and the Shipbuilding Museum. The museum provides a thorough insight on the rich history of Green Park. Here you will find paintings, sculptures, stories of sailors and ships, antics etc.
Located within the North Cape Coastal Drive, this vast wonderland is surrounded with woodland with numerous trails leading towards the beach front and tenting sites that surround the provincial park. Amenities include a nearby camper's store, flush toilets, hot showers, and a Laundromat. The Green Park Provincial Park holds a special place for children. The park houses numerous playing fields that come covered with lush meadows. You also have a mini Golf course, wooden shipbuilding display and numerous camp cabins on site.
Biking enthusiasts will love this place; you can take your bike right through the woods into the beach. The undulating trails are long and challenging. Pets are permitted in the Green Park Provincial Park, though on leash. Located within a few miles of the park, you have the Lennox Island, the Brittania Hall Theatre and the Palmyra Trail.

Cabins and campsites are very private - several are located right on a quiet beach where you can walk, swim, or dig for clams! There are free hot showers and flushing toilets located in various locations on the grounds. You can buy firewood, ice, and snacks at the park's office. Cabins are very basic with bunk beds, chairs, and a table in each - as well, each cabin has its own firepit and picnic table. At present, July 2012, a cabin comes to approximately $51.98 CAD.
