 opened on 2004-11-13. It has over 118000 square feet (10,962.6 m²) of meeting and usable prefunction space which includes a 50000 sq ft (4,645.2 m²), column free exhibition hall, a 13650 sq ft (1,268.1 m²) ballroom, and eleven breakout rooms in varying sizes. There are 400 parking stalls on-site with over 2,400 more available at Tacoma Dome Station.

In September 2010, the GTCTC added Commerce Room, a meeting space adding over 1800 square feet (167.2 m²) to the center. The Commerce Room can be used by convention groups as an additional breakout room or on its own for smaller events with a capacity for 180 people.
