The students are known as Mariners. They are further divided into four houses (as is done in the United Kingdom

): Sea Monkeys, Golden Vikings, Pirates, and Buccaneers. The houses compete for House Points in events such as balloon stomp. At the end of the year the house with the most points wins the "Mariner Cup."

Seventh Graders

For 7th graders the school only offers 2 choices. Students must take ether the tech wheel or art wheel. Each wheel has three classes, and the students rotate classes every trimester. This program has been cut, and as of the end of the 2011 school year there is just one elective rotation - health, industrial technology, and either art or theatre art.

Art wheel

The art wheel has theater arts, art class and also health. The health class is the same class as the one in the tech wheel. The theater arts class develops student's acting skills. Students learn to express themselves on paper in art class.
