In 1989-2006 she was Head of the Department of Source Studies of the Javakhishvili Institute of History and Ethnology (Tbilisi). Since 1990 she is a Professor of the Tbilisi State University. She is author of more than 100 scientific-research papers and about 10 monographs in the fields of the source studies of history of Georgia and the Caucasus
