The Gila Pueblo Archaeological Foundation was founded in 1928 in Globe, Arizona
by Harold S. Gladwin
and Winifred (MacMurdy) Gladwin. The purpose of the foundation was to conduct archaeological research in the American Southwest and surrounding areas.
