Gerhard Hennige

Gerhard Hennige (born 23 September 1940 in Karlsruhe
) is a former German track and field
athlete and Olympic medal winner, among the world's best at the 400 meter hurdles from 1966 to 1971.
At the 1968 Summer Olympics
in Mexico City
, he won two medals for West Germany
. One was silver in his specialty, in a time of 49.0 seconds). He also ran the second leg on the bronze winning 4 x 400 metres relay
