. He then emigrated to Australia
where he became Rector
of Christ Church St. Laurence
in Sydney
. When he left, in 1901, for the Nyasaland
bishopric
, his parishioners gave him a gold cross. He was translated
to the new Diocese of North West Australia
a decade later. After 17 years in this position he retired to Chale, Isle of Wight
, where he died in 1928.
