The school was selected by the Canadian Education Association as one of 21 exemplary schools across Canada. There are many specialized courses offered in the school. These include programs like MSc.com, Program2 Art, "One World Youth Arts Project" program, BSc@Van, the Aerospace program and the "Focus on Information Technology" program, which offer students the opportunity to earn nationally recognized certifications. Additionally, the school also offers Advanced Placement courses for senior students.
