on violence reduction. The World Health Organisation have commended WAVE’s groundbreaking work and WAVE has become part of WHO’s global Violence Prevention Alliance.

Hosking's approach to the huge issue of how to tackle violence at it roots has been one that he used to use throughout his career as an international business strategist: changing performance through identifying and understanding root causes, rather than operating on symptoms. This had previously enabled his consultancy to transform profitability for well-known international companies, adding over £30 million per annum to their business profitability.

Drawing on his psychologist and clinical criminologist training Hosking has been doing therapeutic work with violent criminals both in prison and after release. To date none of his clients have re-offended with violence, in or out of prison. Hosking puts this unusual success down to the approach of tackling root causes.

Hosking has been one of the first to be bestowed with companion membership of the Most Noble Order of Zand reflecting the enormity of his contribution to the humane development of mankind and the creation of a truly peaceful society for us and our children to live in.
