Gan Wing Ho is a fictional character played by Raymond Lam
in the hit TVB series, Moonlight Resonance
. He is the second son and child of Chung Siu Hor (鍾笑荷) and Gan Tai Cho (甘泰祖), he is also his paternal grandmother's, Sheh Gwan Lai (佘君麗), favorite grandchild,he marries his childhood friend Yu So Sum (於素心).

Meanwhile, the father, Gan Tai Cho, eventually began to reconcile with his family and began to involve himself more and more with the affairs of the Chung household. In addition, Ah Ho's older brother, Gan Wing Ka had begun to spend much more time with his biological mother. Ah Ho's youngest brother, Gan Wing Chung
also went to stay with his mother after he decided that he could no longer continue to study in England and had abandoned the endeavor.

Nonetheless, her husband finds out after he makes a phone call to Ah Ho and his siblings and immediately returns to Hong Kong.
During the crisis with the father absent, Ah Ho was the center of everything which was occurring. He was also the principal person to care for his grandmother. After the dangerous stage of the condition, Ah Ho's grandmother is reconciled to her former daughter-in-law (Ah Ho's mother), whom she had always abhorred, due to the fact that she (the daughter-in-law) had been very concerned on her mother-in-law's behalf and had assisted in sustaining her when she was on the verge of death, thus helping her survive.
Nonetheless, despite the fact that Yu So Sum preferred another, she and Ah Ho continued to be close friends. At the mean time, problems were occurring between her and (Ling) Chi-Shun. She had discovered that he had another girlfriend, named Yau Wing Lam (邱詠琳) whom he had promised to wed. This other woman had done Ling Chi-Shun much good by encouraging him to continue with medical school

when he was discouraged and wanted to quit. She had even sacrificed a baby so that he would be able to focus in school without worrying about being a father. Thus, the young doctor now feels that he has an obligation to her not only because of the promise but also because of everything she had selflessly done for him. Yu So Sum was then caught in the middle. She had truly grown to have romantic feelings for Chi-Shun, but she knew that it would not be ethical to steal the woman's boyfriend the way her mother, Yan Hung, had mercilessly stolen Gan Tai Cho from Chung Siu Hor. Nonetheless, sometimes she would feel immensely confused saying that she could not afford to lose and that she must win Chi-Shun's heart, though it required taking it from its rightful "owner."
During these moments of confusion, Ah Ho was there to comfort her. He would constantly spend an enormous amount of time to help her relax and forget about the complexities and mixed emotions pertaining to her new boyfriend. However, one day, in a fit of unhappiness, Yu So Sum tells Ah Ho not to further bother her anymore, throwing him into a state of sorrow.
His paternal grandmother finds him extremely miserable and desires to know the cause of his distress. He then informs her that he has fallen in love with his stepsister, Yu So Sum.
His paternal grandmother (Ma Ma (嫲嫲) thus secretly steals some of the tape recordings which her grandson had sent to Yu So Sum when they were young from Yu So Sum's room. However, when she attempts to return them to her room, Ah Hung sees her mother-in-law fiddling with her (Ah Hung) daughter's things and grows suspicious. She then discovers the tapes and books from their childhood and adolescence. However, she also finds some more recent memoirs: for instance, her daughter's diary recording her feelings for Ah Ho.
Ah Hung completely disapproves that Yu So Sum should associate with Ah Ho because she strongly detested and envied Ah Ho's mother, Chung Siu Hor. In addition, she considered them to be an incompatible couple, since Ah Ho was an inferior baker and her daughter was a doctor, who currently also seemed to have the potential of marrying a fellow doctor. (Ah Hung already knew about her daughter's relationship with Dr. Ling.) Ah Hung confronts Ah Ho (with his family) about his relationship with her daughter and accuses him of trying to chase her. Nonetheless, Yu So Sum clarifies the situation and informs everybody that Ah Ho was not trying to court her, but rather he was trying to comfort her when she felt emotionally confused about her new boyfriend.
Dr. Ling also apprises Yu So Sum that he will marry Wing Lam after their return to England. It is later revealed that this was not the truth and that Dr. Ling had only said so in order to prevent Yu So Sum to further pine for him.
Meanwhile, Ling Chi-Shen had developed an acquaintance with Ah Ho and informed him that he was going to take his former girlfriend
back to England. Ah Ho, a decent person, thus brings Yu So Sum to the airport to say farewell to the doctor.
After Yu So Sum sees her boyfriend enter the terminal
, she immediately breaks down into tears. She then falls into a state of unhappiness as she recalls all the pleasant memories of the time she had spent with Dr. Ling
Fortunately, due to Ah Ho' unceasing efforts to either comfort her for her loss or divert her mind from him, Yu So Sum eventually recovers from the feeling of abandonment produced by Dr. Ling's sudden decision to return to England. The reason of her immense distress to have been separated from a man who in actuality, she did not know that well, was that she felt that he was relentlessly abandoning her. She had already experienced such burdensome feelings when her father, Yu Hak Keung (于克強), had mercilessly committed adultery and divorced her mother. Although she (Yu So Sum) had implored him not to leave them for the other woman, he completely ignored her entreaty and did it anyway. Dr. Ling's journey to England reminded her of those unhappy times and the misery that they had caused.
After Ling Chi-Shen left, Ah Ho and Yu So Sum's relationship began to flourish and become increasingly romantic. An obvious sign of their renewed relationship was that Yu So Tsau (a nickname for Yu So Sum) requested that he bake another cake identical to the one he had previously given her with the words, "I love Yu So Sum."
However, while he is baking the expected pastry, Yu So Sum encounters Dr. Ling in a mall. She then sees that he has resumed his previous position in the hospital, although his pleasant mood apparently seemed to have grown rather spiritless. He informs her that he had temporarily returned to Hong Kong and that his new wife was living in England.
The two go to a party with other colleagues the evening that Yu So Sum had arranged with Ah Ho to pick up the cake. When she reaches Ah Ho, she honestly informs him that Ling Chi-Shen had come back to Hong Kong. However, she also tells him that while she was with him at the party, she was thinking about Ah Ho.
After hearing this, Ah Ho gives her the cake (which by the way is not identical to the old one) and proposes to her. Their scene together ends with them kissing.

The entire family is enraged and they all decide to hire a lawyer to go to court and battle Yan Hung and her accomplices. Meanwhile, Yu So Sum finds out about her mother's injustice and begs her mother to be reasonable.
Her mother then informs her that she had medidated for a very long time on how much she should give her husband. At first, she had decided to be rather kind and give him 30% of all the assets. However, when she found out that Yu So Sum and Ah Ho were now holding hands and on the verge of being married, she decided to give them the minimum, one-tenth.
During this time, Gan Tai Cho's mother, although afflicted by heart disease, secretly went to find witnesses to the fact that her son was the original founder of "Ga Ho Yuet Yuen." However, she dies in the hospital and the family has to battle in court without her.
After a long and provoking court case, where all of Yan Hung's witnesses told lies, the verdict is given. Yan Hung is given 80% of the assets, while her husband only receives 20%.
Despite having only gained an inadequate portin, Gan Tai Cho, Chung Siu Hor, and the children decide to forget about the entire issue and proceed with their lives, which included the remarriage of the father and his ex-wife.
Ah Ho is extremely hurt by this and his spirit is very dampened, but nonetheless still goes to her place when she requested that he and his family go.
Yu So Sum and Yan Hung had assembled all the employees of the mooncake business in their home in order to make an announcement of certain changes to take place.
Yu So Sum and Dr. Ling had been given 70% of her mother's 80% portion in order to establish a business having to do with medical equipment
. In addition, Yu So Sum had now become the head of the mooncake
business, Ga Ho Yuet Yuen.
However, Yu So Sum informs everybody that she had transferred her portion to two other individuals, Gan Tai Cho and Chung Siu Hor in order to compensate them for all the evil deeds her mother had done towards them. Therefore, the couple now have 76% of all the assets, worth more than 900 million HK$. Moreover, Yu So Tsau tells everyone that the engagement between her and Dr. Ling is actually nonexistent. They were only pretending to be engaged so that Yu So Sum could obtain some of her mother's portion and give it as reparations to her stepfather and ex-wife.

The Divorce and Its Consequences
During the divorce which occurred between his mother, Chung Siu Hor, and father, Gan Tai Cho, the six children were consequently split in half: three to each parent. Gan Wing Ho (a.k.a. Ah Ho (阿好)) was the only boy given to the custody of his mother as well as his two younger sisters, Suen Hou Yuet (孫皓月) and Gan Wing Hing (甘詠慶). Ah Ho was only fourteen years old during the time. By 2008, Gan Wing Ho still continued to work in his mother's small pastry shop as a baker as he had done since he was fourteen years of age. Throughout the twelve years of separation, Gan Wing Ho, the only male in the Chung household besides his maternal grandfather, fulfilled much of the role of an important male figure in the household. To his mother, he was not only a devoted son, but he also partially satisfied the lack of a husband. To his two sisters, he was an older brother and partly like a father. The necessity of him having to play the roles of several persons caused him to feel an exceptionally strong attachment to his family. The Truth about Dr. Ling
While Ah Ho and his family were battling with Yan Hung, Yu So Tsau finds out that Dr. Ling's old girlfriend, Wing Lam, was actually dead. Dr. Ling had found out that she had some sort of terminal skin illness. Dr. Ling had actually returned to England with her not to marry her, but rather to be with her when she died. This explained why he was so vapid in his behavior and vapid in his work.Yu So Sum's engagement
