Human history

At least one permanent family has lived on Fremont Island. Kate and Uriah Wenner and their children lived on the island for several years prior to the death of Uriah in 1891.

Access

Fremont Island is privately owned and permission is required for access. The island has two landing strips suitable for landing small planes on the island.
