Freddy Kemayo joined Faucon Gym in 1999 and has been training there under Richard Roudy ever since. In 2002 he became the French Kickboxing champion and in 2003 made his K-1

On May 21, 2010 Kemayo fought at the K-1 World Grand Prix 2010 in Bucharest. In the first round he surprisingly beat the third tournament favourite, Sergei Lascenko
