The Forth Estuary Transport Authority (FETA) is the authority responsible for the maintenance of the Forth Road Bridge
over the Firth of Forth
in eastern central Scotland
. FETA was created in 2001 by the Transport (Scotland) Act 2001 - to replace the Forth Road Bridge Joint Board.
The board of FETA has ten members, allocated as follows:
FETA, and the Scottish Executive, is considering the construction of a second Forth Road Bridge near the existing structure at Queensferry. This would be in addition to the ongoing works on a replacement to the Kincardine Bridge
over the River Forth
