In 2005, Fernando Scarpa moved to the U.S. to gain experience in American film. He shot his debut short movie "Brothers", which almost immediately won BEST SHORT, BEST SCREENPLAY and BEST DIRECTORIAL DEBUT awards at the NYIIFVF in Los Angeles

In the beginning of 2007, Scarpa returns to Germany and directs with great success the Musical "Martin Luther King", a big stage production in the historical Memory Church (Gedaechtnis Kirche) located in the heart of Berlin.

Among other projects slated for 2009, he will produce the feature movie "White Cure", a medical thriller based on an original idea of Scarpa’s.
