Charlton signed Federico Bessone on loan on 31 January 2011 for the remainder of the 2010-11 season with the option to buy the player permanently in the summer. Bessone made his debut for Charlton against Colchester United. During his loan spell Bessone gave an honest interview where he admitted he was disappointed in his own performances in his 8 games for Leeds.
