Student profile

EBS London recruits a large percentage of its students from overseas providing a highly diverse student body, with about 90 nationalities present on campus. These are complemented by international exchange students from the school's partner universities. Most of the students are fluent in two or more languages and are concerned about widening their academic education as well as work experience for an internationally focused job career.

Courses

The main undergraduate course is its "BA(Hons) International Business", involving compulsory training in one or two languages. Furthermore, the course offers the possibility to pursue a major in selected areas, including finance, marketing, human resources management, law etc. Languages offered are Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, German, French, Japanese, Italian, Russian, Portuguese and Arabic. One of the main goals are to prepare the students for a more practical focus of the learned languages, through in-class conversations. Furthermore, all language teachers are native language speakers and besides of teaching the language, experience of transmitting cultural aspects & business ethics to the students.

The BA(Hons) International Business includes two study semesters in selected partner institutions abroad, and requires 36 weeks of industry placements for completion. This can be obtained through internships during the semester holidays.

Along with this specialist BA degree, EBSL also offers and MBA and MA in Management with pathways as well as a BA (Hons) in International Event Management which was added in 2008. MA in Luxury Brand Management programme was launched in 2010.

The school also provides tailor-made executive training to companies and institutions.

Research

Research active faculty members are involved in the Regent's Centre for Transnational Studies (RCTS), the Centre for Banking and Finance (CBF), and the Institute of Contemporary European Studies (iCES).
