Esteban Efraín Paredes Quintanilla (born 1 August 1980 in Santiago
) is an Chilean professional footballer who plays as a striker for Colo-Colo

In 2004, Paredes was loaned to Universidad de Concepción. He had a good season with the team of Concepción, playing several games and also scoring many goals, including playing his first continental tournament, the 2004 Copa Libertadores. In mid-year, Paredes was transferred to the filial team of the Mexican club Pachuca, Pachuca Juniors

In 2006, he returned to Santiago Morning, but in the next season once was loaned, now to Cobreloa

In the 2009 season, Paredes was fully consecrated in his career, being the topscorer of his team and of Apertura Tournament with 17 goals in 18 appearances. Colo-Colo signed him for a fee of US$500.000 on 1 July 2009, acquiring the 40% of the player's federative rights.
. Paredes had a successful start to his Colo-Colo career. He was often in the starting lineup of the coach Hugo Tocalli
and for his good performances quickly won the hearts of fans. He scored his first goal for the club in the 2nd week of the 2009 Clausura Tournament, the winner in a 2–1 victory over Deportes La Serena. A few days later, he scored his first hat-trick in Colo-Colo against Universidad de Concepción, in a 3–1 win, thanks to him, because all the goals in the game were scored by Paredes. were the goalscorers of Colo-Colo in all tournaments, and also Paredes was listed on the global list of league scorers with his countrymen Héctor Mancilla
