, Erdek is known as a friendly holiday destination that is popular among domestic tourists. The area has a rugged geology and topography and evergreen wooded areas. It takes about two hours to get to Bandirma from Yenikapi, Istanbul by fast ferry

. A bus will take you from Bandirma to Erdek in about 20 minutes. The nearest city is Bursa.
Erdek has 2 four-stars hotels, many more bed and breakfast facilities and a wide variety of private residential properties(summer houses, villas ....) Nearly all the accommodation is a few minutes stroll from the sea.
Cafes by the sea and in the town center are famous, and there are also a lot of commercial facilities in the town.
