History

In 1929, residents of Engadine realised that they needed a local school due to the number of school-aged children. Up until then, local children had been attending schools at Heathcote

. In April, 1930, materials to build a school in Engadine were purchased for around 150 pounds. The then Minister for Education, Mr. D.H. Drummond, wanted a portable classroom to be erected on the site as early as possible. The first day of Engadine "Provisional" School was on the 13th of September, 1932.
