Politics

On Wednesday, December 19, 2007, Ellsinore Mayor William (Bill) Fulford was killed in an automobile accident. The vacancy has been filled by David Bowman.

Incumbent Mayor David Bowman beat challenger Yvonne Collins by a landslide in the 2008 Mayoral race on April 8, 2008, capturing 74% of the vote.

Carl "Andy" Bowman, Brenda (Hahn) McGehee, and Ben Theis, all challengers, were elected to the East Carter County R-II School Board on April 8, 2008.
