She is the daughter of Caucasian producer Nicholas Vladimirovich Dostal and his second wife Princess Natalia Romanovskaya-Iskander who was the last Romanov to remain in Russia following the Revolution. She was a granddaughter of His Serene Highness Prince Alexander Nikolaievich Iskander-Romanov, the son of disgraced Grand Duke Nicholas Constantinovich of Russia; thus, Eleonora is a matrilineal great-great-great-granddaughter of Paul I of Russia
