He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from the University of Prince Edward Island and also holds a Master of Education from the University of New Brunswick.
He served as FPT co-chair with the federal Minister of Health. Mr. Currie also represented Provincial and Territorial Ministries of Health as part of the Canadian delegation to the World Health Organization Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, in May 2008.
