Qualification

According to the quota established by PASO, there will be a maximum number of sixty (60) Male and Female competitors in Diving. As hosts Mexico can enter athletes in each event. No later than July 1, 2011, each NOC must submit to UANA
Amateur Swimming Union of the Americas

 a list with the names of the divers to be registered. If the number of divers exceeds the quota of sixty athletes UANA will determine the qualified divers for the according to the FINA World Ranking. Each NOC may enter a maximum of eight (8) divers, four (4) men and
four (4) women, if entering a team in synchronized diving. NOCs not entering athletes in synchronized diving will be allowed to enter a
maximum of six (6) athletes, three (3) men and three (3) women. Each NOC may also enter a maximum of two (2) divers per individual event
and one (1) team per synchronized event. Later the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO) increased the number of athletes that a nation can enter to nine.
