David Lee has been doing one form or another of martial art since he was very young, with his older brother and sister studying judo

Lee defended his UCMMA Featherweight Title against John Kelly at UCMMA 17- Kings of the Cage, winning via rear naked choke after 2 minutes of round one. He dropped his opponent with a spinning back kick and a flying knee, moving into ground and pound and finally sinking in the choke to submit Kelly.

Lee next attempted to defend his UCMMA title against Welsh Lightweight/Featherweight stand-out Nathan Beer at UCMMA 20 Fists of Fire. He lost the fight via unanimous decision.
