Spot The Producer

Producer Spot aka Christian is the PRO-ducer of the Covino & Rich Show. His many duties include keeping Covino & Rich in check when their ADD kicks in, being the official nussie-wrangler for the show, doing things that Covino & Rich aren’t man enough to do, and constantly being ridiculed. He is also responsible for turning the second day of the work week into a cultural phenomenon.

Spot originated in the hallways of the pop station in NYC where he first met Dicky Doo. When asked the question, “Why do they call you Spot?” he has been instructed to say, “Because I hit it every time.” However, the true origin comes from his early days as an intern. He would follow around his boss like a dog, and because he did commercials, which in the radio world are known as “spots,” he was dubbed Spot and it stuck. Spot remained at the pop station in NYC amongst the clutches of terrestrial radio, until a hand from above reached down and pulled him into the promised land of Sirius XM, Maxim Radio, and The Covino & Rich Show.

As a member of “The Show,” Spot has grown considerably as a person; however, he still faces the constant challenges from Covino & Rich – including making phone calls to girls and recording them for the show, seeing dating coaches, and giving up masturbation until he gets ass, among other things.

Spot currently lives with his Mom!

Interesting facts about Producer Spot:
-He drives a stick like a real man
-His favorite day of the week is a Tuesday
-He only gratifies himself once or twice a week
-He enjoys having tickle fights with the interns, even the male ones
-He might have had sex once, we’re not sure

History

The show's official kickoff date was on February 4, 2005, quite possibly for the Maxim Super Bowl Party. The producer at the time was "Sami J". The show's original time was 10am - 2pm EST on Sirius 145 and later moved to channel 108, then 104

Sami J

Sami J was the original producer of the show.
Sami J is known as "The Director" on the show being that ever since giving up the producer position, he held on to a camera and started filming all C&R activities. From a four part internet miniseries titled "On The Level" to the Maxim/X-Games party in L.A., its because of Sami that the listeners get to see the action as well as hear it on their Sirius radios. Sami also filmed a documentary with Covino and Rich called "Into The Mist" that is currently in the New York Independent International Film and Video Festival and is currently being submitted to many other film festivals. Sami is also a writer for the show and is an on-air contributor as well.

Dudebro Lexicon

The show has a language of its own. It is expected that a new listener may not understand everything that is being said. The show has its own online dictionary which can be compared to "Urban dictionary".

The dictionary can be found at Whatdatmean

Ticklesack

Ticklesack is the band of Covino, Rich, Spot, and Sami J.
Ticklesack primarily remakes hit songs with their own lyrics.

Spotcenter

Spotcenter originated as a Covino and Rich video spin-off show of Spotty doing everyday things. At any given time Spot can be seen cleaning his bathroom, sleeping, or wearing his roommate's bra on his head.

Spotcenter has become the Covino and Rich pregame/postgame show. Spot is on the air for an hour prior to the show discussing all things Covino and Rich. He recaps the show from the day before, discusses what is coming up on the show and plays show gems from past episodes.
