Production

Burnett worked for over a year on the soundtrack. Both Elvis Costello and Sting were commissioned to write tunes for the album. Musician and scholar Tim Eriksen served as consultant for the Sacred Harp portion of the film, and provided the singing voice for the character Stobrod.

Burnett worked for over a year on the soundtrack. Both Elvis Costello and Sting were commissioned to write tunes for the album. Musician and scholar Tim Eriksen served as consultant for the Sacred Harp portion of the film, and provided the singing voice for the character Stobrod.
