 and Raja Nadir Pervaiz, Ch Ghulam Mustafa Bajwa and Ch. Tariq Mehmood Bajwa have contested and won elections of National Assembly of Pakistan from Chak Jhumra. However, these high profile parliamentarians could not resolve the problems of the town, which range from transportation to employment opportunities. Ch. Ghulam Mustafa Bajwa brought natural gas into this small town in 1990, and later his son Ch Tariq Mehmood Bajwa managed the provision of natural gas in the surrounding areas. Ch. Tariq Bajwa played a major role in connecting this town to the motorway.

Chak Jhumra is also linked with Motorway M3 through "Sahianwala" Interchange. Chak Jhumra is situated amid of two industrial estates namely "Khurrianwala Industrial Area" and "Faisalabad Industrial Zone, Sahianwala".

Sugarcane is the main crop of this area. Besides, wheat is also a major agricultural product. Being close to industry, the people are mostly prosperous. A manufacturing unit namely "Sandal Dyestuff Industry" provides jobs and business activity in this area.
