After attending college at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Campbell transferred to Stanford University
, where she worked with violin instructor Gennady Kleyman, and majored in computer programming, logic, linguistics, and psychology. In 2004, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BS in Symbolic Systems and an MA in Sociology.
