The Campeonato Sudamericano de Clubes is an international men's basketball
Basketball
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams of five players try to score points by throwing or "shooting" a ball through the top of a basketball hoop while following a set of rules...

 cup competition organized by the South American Basketball Confederation and played annually by invitee South American clubs.

Format

The competition is hosted in one or more cities,. In the first round, the eight clubs are divided in two groups of four teams each. The two best placed teams of each group advance to the semifinals. In the semifinals, the first placed team of a group plays against the other group's runner-up. The final is disputed by the semifinal winners.
