News operation

The station currently produces an hour-and-a-half of local news every weekday (consisting of half-hour newscasts at 6, 10 and 11 p.m.), and two hours of local newscasts on weekends (consisting of half-hour newscasts at 6 and 10 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday nights); CFSK is among the few Global stations (and one of the few television stations in Canada) to carry a primetime newscast during the 10 p.m. hour.

On December 5, 2011, Global Saskatoon will debut a three-hour newscast on weekday mornings (under Global's Morning News brand), which will run from 6 to 9 a.m.
