Early life

Brian Kennedy was born August 8, 1983 in Kansas City, Missouri. He is the fourth of five children to Charles and Beverly Seals (née Davis). At an early age, he developed an appreciation for the piano. He began taking formal classical piano lessons at age six and established the foundation for the composer he became at eight years old. He excelled in his lessons beyond measure due to his ability to hear and memorize scales and melodies, he would take songs and make them his own.

Kennedy attended the Paseo Academy school of performing arts with a major in music from 1998–2002, and was voted best musician by his classmates.
