Breathsavers are modified disks, beveled at the outer edges and having a shallow depression in the center, on both sides. Each Breathsaver is counterembossed on one side with the legend "BREATH SAVER" in raised letters about 0.3 mm tall in a circular pattern around the center. They are packaged in two different ways:
- A cylindrical roll, with twelve mints in each roll.
- In a disc-shaped metal can, sold as "Breathsavers 3 Hour Mints".
Breathsavers are advertised as containing "Neutrazin", an ingredient claimed to neutralize and eliminate bad breath
