From 2011 onwards, this new Brasileiro de Marcas continued replaces the former Campeonato Brasileiro de Marcas e Pilotos it was competed until 1994.

End of the championship

Brasilileiro de Marcas was a strong league tourism branding, direct involvement of domestic Manufactures. It was titled Campeonato Brasileiro de Marcas e Pilotos, which was very strong in the initiation and had its last year of competition in 1994. In 1994, the last year of Brasileiro de Marcas, the champions were the gauchos Egon Herzfeldt and Vicente daudt, who ran with the older model Ford Escort

The new Brasileiro de Marcas

The Brasileiro de Marcas will be the big news of calendar 2011. Organized by the Vicar Sports Promotions, along with the Brazilian Confederation of Motorsport (CBA). The championship will bring together models sedans medium preferably prepared with about 300cv, slick tires and a six-speed sequential transmission. Thus, we consider the competitiveness, with low operating costs for the teams and drivers.

Another important addition to our national motoring is that the Vicar is committed to the CBA, together with the Federation, to the regional repaginate by working to modernize the cars that compete today. In every city that the new Brasileiro de Marcas spend with your event, will invite to participate in this regional category will be a great festival of Brazilian auto racing. The regional champions will receive subsidies to attend the national championship the following year.

For the first year, drivers also will compete in pairs and three models will be represented by the top teams in the country: Chevrolet Astra, Ford Focus
