Wiley-Blackwell is the international scientific, technical, medical, and scholarly publishing business of John Wiley & Sons
. It was formed by the merger of John Wiley's Global Scientific, Technical, and Medical business with Blackwell Publishing, after Wiley took over Blackwell Publishing in 2007.

It publishes nearly 1,500 peer-reviewed journals and more than 1,500 new books annually in print and online, as well as databases, major reference works, and laboratory protocols. On 17 November 2006, John Wiley & Sons
announced it had "entered into a definitive agreement to acquire" Blackwell Publishing. The acquisition was completed in February 2007, at a purchase price of £572 million. Blackwell Publishing was merged into Wiley's Global Scientific, Technical, and Medical business to create Wiley-Blackwell. From 30 June 2008, the journals previously on Blackwell Synergy are delivered through Wiley InterScience.
