On January 1, 2005, Bayside Church planted Bayside of South Sacramento (BOSS) on the southern side of Sacramento

, was chosen to head the church. The church's membership grew to 330 people within a month, meeting initially at Luther Burbank High School. BOSS was the first of several church plants planned by the Granite Bay campus.

The offices of Bayside were burglarized on the night and morning of October 26-27, 2007, and approximately $27,500 in computers, monitors, and other items was estimated as loss.

Bayside rented the Power Balance Pavilion during the Easter of 2011, attracting a crowd of an estimated 17,000 people.

Programs

Bayside has a comprehensive ministry that caters to special-needs children.

Every year, Bayside hosts a week-long festival for children called Breakaway. The day camp's activities, which include water games and arts and crafts, attracts more than 2,000 children annually.

At the Granite Bay campus, Bayside's junior high youth group is called Riptide; Riptide meets on Saturday evenings and twice on Sunday mornings.

Bayside's senior high youth group is called The Bridge at the Granite Bay campus, which meets on Wednesday nights and on Sunday mornings, where it is called "The AM". The youth group organizes a trip to impoverished areas of the Mexicali

Every month, Bayside sends more than twenty volunteers to have a picnic at the Serna Village, an apartment complex that supports dozens of otherwise-homeless families.
