Coat of arms

The coat of arms is based on an earlier court seal. The seal has been documented to have been in use since 1747. It was officially recognized in 1894 by the General State Archive. The lion and the field of lozenges represent the Palatinate of the Rhine. The tree represents the etymological origin of the name Bammental, Baum im Tal (tree in the valley).

The flag is green and white and was awarded by the Ministry of the Interior in 1965.
