History

The Drakkar first played in the QMJHL in 1997. One of the founders of the team was former Quebec Nordique

 co-founder Marius Fortier. After two seasons where the team recorded only 17 and 18 victories, the Drakkar commenced a notable leap with seasons of 31, 41, 38 and 50 victories. Since this period, the Drakkar have been rebuilding. They have never won the President's Cup
