The British Union was a political party
Political party
A political party is a political organization that typically seeks to influence government policy, usually by nominating their own candidates and trying to seat them in political office. Parties participate in electoral campaigns, educational outreach or protest actions...

in the United Kingdom formed in 1932 by Sir Oswald Mosley
Oswald Mosley
Sir Oswald Ernald Mosley, 6th Baronet, of Ancoats, was an English politician, known principally as the founder of the British Union of Fascists...

as the British Union of Fascists, in 1936 it changed its name to the British Union of Fascists and National Socialists and then in 1937 to simply the British Union. It existed until 1940, when it was proscribed by the authorities.

The party had many songs, much like the NSDAP, with similar names and themes.

Mosley!

Mosley! Leader of thousands!
Hope of our manhood, we proudly hail thee!
Raise we this song of allegiance,
For we are sworn and we shall not fail thee.
Lead us! We fearlessly follow
To conquest and freedom – or else to death!
From coast to coast throughout the Motherland,
Rings out the summons to the chosen band.
In street, in meadow and alley and lane resounds
The tramp of our insurgent legions.
Proudly we mass for the struggle,
The ranks of Reaction are swept before us!
Mosley leads on to the combat –
Lift up your hearts in triumphal chorus!
Only through our Revolution
Comes the revival of Britain at last!

Chorus:
Now assemble the Youth of the Nation
To the Standard of Regeneration!
Let the tramp of our feet,
With a rhythmic beat,
Echo through the street
And shake the hills and mountains.

Mosley! Leader of thousands!
Thou of all leaders alone can save us!
Free us from doubt and division,
Parasite tyrants that now enslave us.
Onward, through strife and derision,
We fight as one man for the Corporate State.
Uplift the Fascist Standards! Swell the song,
And bear the apathetic crowd along!
No force of monied corruption can stop for long
The march of our insurgent legions.
Proudly we mass for the struggle,
The ranks of Reaction are swept before us!
Mosley leads on to the combat –
Lift up your hearts in triumphal chorus!
Only through our Revolution
Comes the revival of Britain at last! - HAIL!

Up Fascists!

Fearless in the face of terror,
Forth the Black Battalions go.
Traitors, flaunt your scarlet banners –
Patriot hands shall drag them low!
Truce and compromise are ended.
No relapse and no retreat,
In the struggle of the cities
For the mastery of the street.

Chorus:
Up, Fascists ! Men of Honour,
‘Till the day of freedom break.
Forward in the great adventure,
In the fight for Britain’s sake.
Up, Fascists! Men of Britain!
We have heard the Leader’s call –
For the Fascist Greater Britain!
For the common good of all!

We are proud to lead the vanguard
Of the nation’s risen youth,
In the classless revolution,
In the comradeship of truth
Who defies the Blackshirt challenge?
Who is free of fear and shame?
They have all betrayed the Nation,
They have all been proved the same!

An Anthem

Tune: Eternal Father, Strong to Save
Eternal Father, Strong to Save
"Eternal Father, Strong to Save" is a hymn often associated with the Royal Navy or the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. Accordingly, it is often known as the Royal Navy Hymn or the United States Navy Hymn , and sometimes by the last line of its first verse, "For Those in Peril on...

Land of our Fathers : hear the oath
We swear by thine eternal soil –
To change thee and defend thee both,
To lift thee up through strife and toil
To occupy thy former place,
As leader of the Human Race.

We shall not shrink, for we are sworn
To make thee honoured through the Earth!
Now thy new day begins to dawn,
The herald of thy great Rebirth:
From streets and fields, and from the deep,
Thy children call thee from thy sleep!

Land of our Fathers, holy land,
Mother of heroes, home of men!
Thou in thy former place shalt stand,
Thou shalt be glorious again!
Before the world’s astonished eyes
The Greater Britain shall arise.

Shout for Mosley

Tune: Volk ans Gewehr
At last Britain’s waking and shattering chains,
And on high now our banners are flying.
The Old Gang are quaking, and small hope remains
For their thraldom, dishonoured and dying!

Chorus:
Shout, “For Mosley, for Freedom, for Work and for Bread!“
Till reaction and treason and serfdom are dead!
Britain awake! Britain awake!

We know how to deal with the Communist crew
When the streets grow alive with their clamour –
The red rag goes down to our Red, White and Blue,
We trample the “Sickle and Hammer“ !

Ex-Soldiers’ Verse:
Too long we have lain in the trench under fire,
To let traitors our nation dishonour,
This thought shall the heart of each veteran inspire –
“Give our land to the men who have won her!"

Ex-Soldiers’ Chorus:
We were foully betrayed! Let no Judas remain!
What we lost under them, under Mosley we’ll gain.
Britain awake! Britain awake!

Young Members’ Verse:
Through our land young battalions are marching in view,
At the age when they came to defend her,
Those to King and to Country would make us untrue,
We answer: “To Hell with surrender!"

Young Members’ Chorus:
To the craven old moochers we make this reply:
Who is too young to starve? Who is too young to die?
Britain awake! Britain awake!

Comrades! Raise the Martial Chorus

Tune: Men of Harlech
Men of Harlech
"Men of Harlech" or "The March of the Men of Harlech" is a song and military march which is traditionally said to describe events during the seven year long siege of Harlech Castle between 1461 and 1468. Commanded by Constable Dafydd ap Ieuan, the garrison held out in what is the longest known...

Comrades: raise the martial chorus,
As our fathers sang before us,
Faithful to the land that bore us,
Staunchly meet the foe!
Stronger yet and stronger.
Tolerate no longer,
Falseness vile
And greed and guile
And slavery and hunger!
Rise again most noble nation
Banish want and trepidation,
Hail the day of liberation!
Onward bravely go!
While we slept they crept behind us,
They have forged the chains that bind us,
Theirs the hands that bruise and blind us!
Staunchly meet the foe!
Swell the fighting chorus;
All is swept before us!
Britain, we
Have pledged to thee
To free the land that bore us!
Comrades we must never waver,
Never stoop to gain or favour,
Else we break the oath we gave her –
Onward bravely go!

Come and Join the Blackshirts

If Depression’s got you down,
Don’t get moping, mutter nor frown,
Chase that Bogey out of town!
Come and join the Blackshirts!
If you know the world’s gone wrong,
Don’t just watch us marching along –
Make the power to right things strong!
Come and join the Blackshirts!

Chorus:
Blackshirts! Raise your voices!
Let the men of Britain hear us!
Soon when Our Land rejoices
Those who mock us now will cheer us!
As we swing along –
Join our marching song!
In our thousands strong
Now we shan’t be long!
Those who wrong our land may fear us!

If you’ve Britain’s peace at heart
Don’t let factions tear her apart!
Give Good Times a flying start!
Come and join the Blackshirts!
If you’re loyal to Our King,
Lend your voices now when we sing
Join and let your chorus ring!
Come and join the Blackshirts!

Chorus:
Blackshirts ! Raise your voices!
Let the men of Britain hear us!
Soon when Our Land rejoices
Those who mock us now will cheer us!
As we swing along
Join our marching song!
In our thousands strong
Now we shan’t be long!
Those who wrong our land may fear us!

One for All and All for One,
Bound to see our duty is done!
Won’t you join our work and fun?
Come and join the Blackshirts!
Join our strong, determined band
For a future sensibly planned,
And exalt Our Motherland!
Come and join the Blackshirts!

The Marching Song

Tune: Horst-Wessel-Lied
Horst-Wessel-Lied
The Horst-Wessel-Lied , also known as Die Fahne hoch from its opening line, was the anthem of the Nazi Party from 1930 to 1945...

Comrades: the voices of the dead battalions
Of those who fell that Britain might be great,
Join in our song, for they still march in spirit with us
And urge us on to gain the Fascist State!
Join in our song, for they still march in spirit with us
And urge us on to gain the Fascist State!

We’re of their blood, and spirit of their spirit,
Sprung from that soil for whose dear sake they bled;
‘Gainst vested powers, Red Front, and massed ranks of Reaction
We lead the fight for freedom and for bread!
‘Gainst vested powers, Red Front, and massed ranks of Reaction
We lead the fight for freedom and for bread!

The streets are still; the final struggle’s ended;
Flushed with the fight we proudly hail the dawn!
See, over all the streets the Fascist banners waving –
Triumphant standard of a race reborn!
See, over all the streets the Fascist banners waving –
Triumphant standard of a race reborn!

Onward Blackshirts

Tune: Giovinezza
Giovinezza
"Giovinezza" is the official hymn of the Italian National Fascist Party, regime, and army, and was the unofficial national anthem of Italy between 1924 and 1943...

Hark! the sound of many voices,
Echoes through the vale of ages.
Britain listens and rejoices,
Gazing on Tradition’s pages.
Patriots: your cry is heeded!
Heroes: death was not in vain!
We to your place have succeeded,
Britain shall be great again!

Chorus:
Onward, Blackshirts! form your legions,
Keep the flag for ever high.
For the Fascist Greater Britain
Stand we fast to fight or die!

Crush the tyranny of traitors:
Vested power and Marxian lie!
Moscow-rented agitators,
Strife and chaos we defy:
Ends the conflict of the classes,
Barriers and divisions fall;
We’ve a message to the masses
For the common good of all.

Chorus:
Onward, Blackshirts! form your legions,
Keep the flag for ever high.
For the Fascist Greater Britain
Stand we fast to fight or die!

We will build a ‘Greater Britain ‘
Hail the standard, lift it high!
What though we ourselves be smitten,
This, our Faith can never die!
This, no alien might can sunder –
Courage! Unity! and Strength !
Shout, till Europe hears with wonder,
‘Britain shall be ours at length ! ‘

Chorus:
Onward, Blackshirts! form your legions,
Keep the flag for ever high.
For the Fascist Greater Britain
Stand we fast to fight or die!

The Blackshirts Parade

When the Blackshirts meet,
And march along the street –
And you hear the band a-playing;
More and more they come
To every beat of drum –
Then you’ll hear the people saying:

Chours:
Some come from Plymouth,
Some come from Crewe;
South Shields and Durham
Have sent quite a few.
From Bonny Scotland
Others have strayed,
All over Britain the Blackshirts parade!
When the trouble’s brewing
You’re sure to find us there;
We’re up and doing,
So enemies beware!
Some come from London,
So who’s afraid!
All-British fellows, the Blackshirts’ Parade.

Marching straight ahead
Assurance in their tread –
They’re the men to right things for us;
Give a rousing cheer,
The Blackshirts now are here,
Raise your voices, - join the chorus:

Chorus:
Some come from Plymouth,
Some come from Crewe;
South Shields and Durham
Have sent quite a few.
From Bonny Scotland
Others have strayed,
All over Britain the Blackshirts parade!
When the trouble’s brewing
You’re sure to find us there;
We’re up and doing,
So enemies beware!
Some come from London,
So who’s afraid!
All-British fellows, the Blackshirts’ Parade.

Britain Awake!

Britain awake! arise from slumber!
Soon comes the daybreak of rebirth.
We lift again thy trampled banners,
Our marching legions shake the earth.
We gather from thy lanes and cities,
With men of action at our head.
In us division and delusion,
And all hypocrisies are dead.
We follow Fascism and Mosley,
We fight for freedom and for bread!

We bring a saving Revolution,
We are a-weary of deceit.
We will avenge the long betrayal,
We will acknowledge no defeat.
We breathe the spirit of our fathers,
As dauntless and as proud as they.
O’erthrow the tyranny of falsehood –
The powers of darkness and decay!
We will be victors of to-morrow,
Who are the victims of to-day!

Britain, assert thine ancient honour,
Who never knew a foreign yoke.
Oh, turn thy face toward the future;
Thy life and strength are in thy folk.
If Britain to herself be faithful,
And each man to his fellow true,
Though all the world come forth against us,
We even yet shall make them rue.
We’ll build a Britain fit for heroes,
With courage fresh and splendour new.

Land of Our Birth

Land of our birth,
Be splendid in the Earth!
Unconquered, mighty Mother, rise and rule again!
None may thy rights dispute;
None thy pride of place refute;
Land most deserving the allegiance of men!

Proud was thy past;
Thy future shall be vast!
Armed by the people’s faith to do the people’s will.
Thy star shall never set –
God shall make thee nobler yet –
High over all thy royal Flag waveth still!

Song of Union

Tune: Sons of the Sea
Lift high the flag!
On with the fight!
Strength is in Union:
Let the Land unite!
Fearless, Faithful unto death,
All to dare and give!
For the Land that we love and the People's Right
For Britain yet shall live!

Mosley leads on
In Britain's name,
Our Revolution
Sets men's hearts aflame!
Fearless, Faithful unto death,
All to dare and give!
For the Land that we love and the People's Right!
For Britain yet shall live!
