 was not ready at Ratanpur a temporary transit campus was made at Daburgram, Deoghar in Pancayat Training Institute with a boys hostel

, a girls hostel, one academic block, one faculty hostel (V.I.P. chatravas) and an office. Dr. K.P. Sinha an ex-V.C. of BIT Mesra was appointed as the Director of the institute.

Classes were continued in this transit campus for the first year in the second academic year of this college the studies and office work was carried out from Ratanpur campus and the second batch of BIT Deoghar was admitted through CCB of aieee

. However the first batch were made to stay in transit campus and a bus was provided to reach Ratanpur campus.

In January 2009 the first batch was shifted to Ratanpur campus. The third batch was admitted in the college in September 2009 and Dr. P.K.Shrivastav was appointed as the director of the institute in July 2009. In november 2009 Dr. M.K. Banerjee took charge as Director of the Institute ,he was earlier the director of NIFT,Hatia,Ranchi,Jharkhand. In the yr. 2011, he left the college which in turn was left to the deputy director of the college Col. M. Prasad (retd.)

Campus Facilities

The Institute Presently has Two Boys Hostel and a Girls Hostel .The Institute is run by the Academic block having Five branches, that are Computer science(60),Electronics and communication(60) ,Electical and electronics(60) and Mechanical Engineering(60) and Production engineering(30)streams.There is a Seprate Building for Production Engineering Department.Complete and satisfactory lab faciliities are there for ECE,CSE and EEE branch that are sufficient for persuing engineering degree.However for Mech.n Prod.eng department,only upto 4th semester labs are present in the institure,so after 4th semester i.e(3rd n 4th year) mech n prod.students do their labs in BIT Mesra main campus.Since the college is still in developing phase ,the rest of the labs for mechanical department will be set up as soon as possible.There is a Wifi as well as LAN connection in institute building,but in hostels ,only Wifi connections are available.It's a residential campus.

A part of a Hillock is situated within the campus adds to the scenic beauty of the college
The Institute has a library (Library contains books in the range 5000 to 6000 )but it is now in a expansion phase and therefore the numbers will increase gradually, a football playground , two volleyball grounds and one basketball ground.
