Ardrey Kell High School is a high school

Ardrey Kell was named after two prominent local families in the area known as “Lower Providence” in southern Mecklenburg County
. Both families have served the community as farmers, physicians, educators, politicians and church leaders. The school is also located on Ardrey Kell Road.
Ardrey Kell won the 2009-2010 Wachovia Conference Cup Championship, alongside Charlotte Catholic. Sponsored by Wachovia, the award recognizes high schools that achieve the best overall athletic performances in their conferences, primarily based on postseason play.
The baseball team won the NC 4A State Championship in 2009. They are the only mens sport team in AK to have a state title. Women's golf won the state title in fall of 2010. Women's Varsity Cheerleading also won the state championship fall of 2010. Ardrey Kell also hosts several rising clubs including the Ardrey Kell Speech and Debate Team.
Ardrey Kell was the first school to have a Dance Marathon in a high school in the east coast this March 2011. The students dedicated time and effort to make Dance Marathon possible at their school. They had made videos to advertise the fundraiser such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d2scEFBAG0 and invited representatives from various businesses to help sponsor. The school raised over $20,000 for the kids.
