IPEQ (IP End-to-End QoS)
IPEQ is a set of traffic regulation algorithms designed and implemented by AppEx. The major difference compared with the products from other companies is how the inbound traffic is regulated. While most of them use Policers which simply discard the nonconformant packets, IPEQ attacks this from controlling the feedback channel on the opposite direction, which is also referred to as Inbound Shaping. Inbound Shaping effectively controls the peer senders to minimize the packet losses, which converts to much less wasted bandwidth than simple Policing.IPEQ offers the following:
